It is hard to believe how quickly the first semester of our school year has flown by. Here we are only a few weeks away from our holiday break and the beginning of a new year! This is always such a busy time not only in the classroom but at home as well.
To prepare for the end of the second nine weeks, the students are required to complete MOY 1 testing in Reading, Math, Writing and Science. The following dates for these tests are as follows:
Middle of the Year benchmarks will begin the beginning of this month. The following benchmark tests will be given on:
_____TBS_____= Writing (testing window Nov. 7-18)
______TBS____= Science
(testing window Jan. 9-27)
_____TBS_____=Reading
(testing window Jan. 9-27)
_____TBS_____=Math
(testing window Jan. 9-27)
On these testing days, please make sure your child goes to bed early the night before a benchmark test and eats a healthy breakfast the day of the test. Please have your child bring water and a healthy snack on these important testing days.

*Family Book Fair Night is Tuesday, December _____TBS____ .
Our class Winter Party will be held on December 20th in the morning from 8:30-9:15. Students will enjoy wonderful breakfast goodies, visit with family and friends during the party. Thanks to all who help with party goods and breakfast food items for this special party.
Please remember that Science Fair will be coming up on (TBA). Science Fair board projects are due in the classroom on (TBA) for student presentations....projects will go on display the evening of (TBA). The Winter Break may be good time for your child to begin to get a start on their Science Fair projects.
As we wind up the remaining days left in this semester, we will continue our learning with the focus the following:
Reading: Curriculm TBA
Writing: TBA
Social Studies: TBA
***Reminder that report cards will be sent home on January, (TBA), 2017 for the 2nd 9 wk reporting period.
